POND CLEANING SERVICES
Here are 2 examples of one seasons worth of muck buildup in your pond if you have proper filtration.
the waste buildup in this pond is not only unsightly to look at but, also creates a habitat for pathogens and insects to breed. this is only one of the primary reasons why ponds should be cleaned at least once a year. another reason is the dangerous buildup of toxic gases from the decaying organic matter that are continuously being released by the movement of the fish themselves. The best time to clean your pond for its biology is between March and June. Other reasons for this are as follows, shortly after the water has reached 65° the fish will begin to laying eggs, there is a smaller temperature differential when adding freshwater, your aquatic plants have very little new growth on them and, the organisms in the sludge remaining in your pond from last year has not had the chance to deplete the oxygen levels and harm your fish.

How we intend to thoroughly care for your pond
1. Completely drain all water from your pond.
2. Place fish and plants in a 500 gallon holding tank. We have tanks in our inventory available to hold up to 18,000 gallons of water.
3. Our people remove all debris from the interior surfaces of the pond. That can be removed with the pressure of your garden hose. (Note: We do not recommend stripping out all biota from pond’s interior surfaces, because it is detrimental to the ecosystem.)
4. Debris is disposed within 50 feet of the pond at a discreet location on your site. (Off site debris removal is offered at an additional charge.)
5. Your pump and its intake screen are thoroughly clean. Aquatic plants are pruned and plant containers are rinsed off before returning them to the pond.
6. Chlorine-removal chemicals are added and, water refill is started.
7. The saved water and fish are returned from our holding tank to the pond.
8. Your circulation/filtration system is restarted.
This price is offered for ponds of 50 square feet of water surface, at a depth of 18” that have had the procedure described above performed in the last 12 months. Call for an estimated quote if your pond is larger or has been unattended to for a longer period of time. Payment is due upon the completion of work for first-time customers.
